It’s hard to believe Gala Day was more than three months ago now but what an amazing day it was! Thousands attended Sunday’s family event and we know from the feedback how much everyone enjoyed our science extravaganza.
As autumn approaches, we’ve now started to think about next year’s event and we would absolutely love it if more people joined us to plan and run Sunday. We are a friendly group and we always welcome new ideas. There’s so much to think about!
From planning the parade and theme to overseeing the massive operation inside the Gala arena including the exhibitors, local dance/performing acts to even running community competitions, we want to make next year’s Gala Day the best yet.
We’d love to hear from you and even if you are unsure about how much you can commit or what you can offer, drop our chair, Emma, a line via this Facebook page or at email@example.com. We would love your help.
We’ve also got the main festival’s AGM on Tuesday 17th October where you can find out more about Gala and the rest of the festival. It’s from 8pm onwards at the White Hart Stables Bar. ... See MoreSee Less

Right then. This is your last chance to win a fistful of tickets for Ampthill Festival in 2018. Our survey on what you like and don't about the Festival - find it at bit.ly/AFsurvey18 - will only take five minutes or so of your time and could win you one of five sets of tickets (2 x Ampthill Park Proms and 2 x AmpRocks) for next year.
Tell us who you would like to see perform at next year's festival or the type of food options you would like to see. If there is a comedian or dance act you want to see in the Park next summer, this is the way to do it. Your answers will feed directly into the planning for next summer's events.
The survey closes tomorrow night so please take a few moments to look at it. Thanks to everyone who has completed the survey so far. Your views really matter to us - we are a not-for-profit, community festival after all. ... See MoreSee Less
