The fourth Ampthill Literary Festival will take place at Parkside Hall - there will be events for children in the morning followed by an afternoon and evening of literary entertainment for adults. Just a quick reminder it is our first big Pop Up Book Club next Wednesday 21st June at The Old Sun at 8pm.

We are going to be reading The Glorious Heresies by Lisa McInerney (Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction Winner 2016).

The evening will be lots of fun and we'd love you all to pop by. The more, the merrier.

We've got lots of exciting events planned over the coming months and we'd love you to come along to them.

And the first big event we want to share with you is our popular Pop Up Book Club. The next evening is being held on Wednesday 21st June at The Old Sun at 8pm.

We are going to be reading The Glorious Heresies by Lisa McInerney (Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction Winner 2016).

Have you ever wondered how they put feature films together?  Today, at 2:30pm, John us for a truly unique session gathering together four people from the world of film making.  

Simon Bosanquet, producer on Chariots of Fire and other great films, talks to Graham Baker, Director of Alien Nation and Omen III, Eugene McGing, writer/director of The Unfolding, and Leon Butler, director of Idris Elbas forthcoming film One Hundred Streets.

This is followed at 5:00pm by Steven Berkoff who will be talking about his book Sod the Bitches, and Shakespeares villains.  Tickets are available in the door. 

There are book stalls, a phenomenal art gallery, tea room, brilliant pizza (as the staff can attest) and the wonderful people of Ampthill Brewhouse are keeping the event supplied with beer and wine - ALL OF WHICH YOU DONT NEED A TICKET TO ENJOY.  Dont miss this unique afternoon.
