Breaking News! Ampthill Litfest is back for 2018!

Not only are we back, but we are bringing some of the best names in literature and broadcasting to our favourite Georgian market town.

Over the last few weeks at our Beer & Books events we have released the names of two of our afternoon guests: Rowan Coleman and Ruth Hogan. But we don’t just have a New York Times Bestseller and a Richard and Judy Book Club author on our line-up.

The afternoon opens with someone who brightens your weekday mornings on Classic FM. He is one of the UK’s best known and respected newscasters and journalists… John Suchet. John will be joining his Classic FM colleague and Ampthill Festival veteran, Tim Lihoreau, in a panel discussion about their latest book releases.

As we are starting with a musical theme we felt it would be apt to end the day in the same way. With that in mind we are absolutely delighted to announce that our evening guest will be Joanne Harris and her #Storytime band. This brand new show combines original music, songs and stories as part of an exploration of different forms of narrative.

Tickets will be available in mid-November. At £12.50 a session it offers excellent value for money and would make your book-loving friends and relatives a brilliant Christmas gift.

With two more afternoon guests and two children’s events to announce – keep your eyes on our Facebook and Twitter pages over the coming weeks.
