Join the Parade

You are invited to join us for a fun day by the Seaside.  Yes, we are bringing the Seaside to Ampthill this year!

One of the highlights of the Ampthill Festival is our Gala Day parade on Sunday 7th July which leaves from Station Road at 12.15pm and walks slowly through the heart of the town to Ampthill Park where we are holding our free community fun day.  We invite all local schools, community groups and businesses to take part as it a fantastic opportunity to have fun and to promote your organisation to the crowds lining the streets and the hundreds of people joining us in the Park.

We have invited Toque Tambor, a brilliant Samba Band from Hitchin to lead the parade again. It is going to be noisy and fun.

We invite you to get into the spirit of the day by dressing up to reflect our Seaside theme. The bigger, brighter, sillier and more colourful you are the better. There are prizes for the best themed community groups and judging will be done by the Town Mayor. We encourage you to carry a small placard so festival goers along the route can identify you and so you can promote your group.
