The well attended, annual Ampthill Park Proms will be taking place again this summer in the perfect setting of Ampthill Great Park. This popular evening is the central part of the Ampthill Festival weekend.

Each year we have welcomed back, not only old friends but more and more new ones, and will do so again with the return of the popular Ampthill Town Band, the amazing Redborne Jazz Band and the superbly talented Ampthill Concert Orchestra.

Bring a picnic, relax with friends and enjoy this wonderful summer evening which will conclude with an exciting fireworks extravaganza!

Ampthill Park Proms is a unique, not for profit, boutique music festival in Ampthill. Organised by volunteers for the local community. Ampthill Park Proms is staged in the natural amphitheatre of Ampthill Park in Bedfordshire and will be held on Saturday 1st July 2017 which is part of the popular Ampthill Festival Weekend.

Bonaventura Bottone..

A world renowned tenor, Bonaventura has performed leading roles all over the world. He has sung under many of the world’s greatest conductors, including Sir Andrew Davis, Sir Bernard Haitink, Sir Charles Mackerras, Sir Neville Marriner and of course (Sir) Ben Bottone.

Bonaventura has recorded with Luciano Pavarotti and Joan. Sutherland and Eric Idle in the Mikado. The music you are listening to is “a wandering minstrel I” from the Mikado.

Congratulations!!THE WAIT IS OVER!!!

We know you have been desperate to find out who will by playing at AmpRocks and we can finally reveal all.

Our line-up for AmpRocks 2018 will be record breaking high-energy pop group Bananarama, dance music duo Example & DJ Wire, Brit rock group Reef and local emerging talent The Kazoos.

Bananarama’s original line up of Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodwood, back together again for the first time since the glorious 1980s. The appearance at AmpRocks is a UK festival first for the band.

Example & DJ Wire bring massive number one hits Changed the Way You Kiss Me and Stay Awake to Ampthill Park with their exciting live set. They are very much looking forward to playing, “DJ Wire and I are really excited to play this years’ Ampthill Festival alongside Bananarama and Reef. We’ve heard Ampthill likes to party so can’t wait to get on that stage."

Brit indie rockers Reef, best known for their anthem Place Your Hands, add some raw 90s rock to the AmpRocks mix.

AmpRocks will be opened by local Battle of the Bands winner The Kazoos, showing the festival’s commitment to developing local music talent.

Tickets for AmpRocks are on sale now at amprocks.eventbrite.com at last year’s price of £35 plus booking fee. Once these general admission tickets sell out, there will be a limited number of production release tickets available at the higher price of £40 plus booking fee. General admission will sell fast so book now to avoid disappointment.
