Date: Saturday 30th June 2018

Location: Ampthill Great Park

Ampthill Park Proms is back as part of the Ampthill Festival and on the 30th June we will be going wild and celebrating as it is our 10th!
Each year we have looked to build on our success and this year we are stepping it up again.

Hosting duties for the night and our West End star is the amazing Mazz Murray. She played the “Killer Queen” in We Will Rock You and Tanya in “Mamma Mia! This year she has recorded her first solo album “Midnight Mazz” at the world famous Abbey Road Studios and which is due for release very soon.

The finale each year is the traditional part of the night with classics from the “Last Night of the Proms” culminating in magnificent fireworks. We have a great guest for this part of the event, a big welcome back to Bonaventura Bottone. A Tenor with an international reputation who has performed in all the best opera and concert venues around the world, and of course he has been our guest twice before, stealing the show with sparkling Arias.

Mazz and Bon will both be performing with the amazing Ampthill Concert Orchestra and we also welcome back the Ampthill Town Band and the hugely talent youngsters of Redborne Jazz Band. One of the unique aspects of Ampthill Proms in the Park is the fact that the majority of these musicians are local and are passionate about the music and performing to their best ability and really enjoying the opportunity. We are always looking to improve year on year and as this is our 10th you can be sure that we will be playing favourites from past Proms and some special new music.

All this and a few extra surprises takes place in the beautiful setting of the natural bowl of Ampthill Great Park. Come along and celebrate our 10th Ampthill Park Proms with us and enjoy great music, while you have your picnic and a few drinks.

What happened to land of hope and glory and rule brittania? Flags all ready but no traditional Proms ending.

It was fabulous, well done 🎆

Amazing. Volunteer power!

Yes it was a fabulous evening, well done everyone 🎶

It was our first time to Proms. We LOVED it and will be back!!! We love you Ampthill and all your committee members who put this weekend of events on! You are amazing!!!

The best yet, thank you 😊

For the last 4 years we have travelled down from East Yorkshire to share this amazing weekend and it has just got better. You even organise perfect weather each year. Congratulations to everyone involved.

The enjoyment has come across in the videos & pictures - amazing result. Well done everybody .

Brilliant night as always. Well done and thank you to every single volunteer who works tirelessly to make this event so wonderful.

A huge thanks to you all 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Thanks to all at the festival committee for putting on such a great evening - star of the show must be Mr B’s Dad and his fantastic voice - also I think Theresa has a point - there were no patriotic songs which seems to be a decision the committee has taken and it would be interesting to know the reason for this as people do like a good old sing song. This started last year when I think all we got was Jerusalem - is it because it is seen as divisive or something in light of Brexit because there is nothing wrong with a bit of traditional patriotism whichever side of the divide you are on .. and isn’t that what a traditional Last Night of the proms is supposed to encompass?

Great night but totally agree with Robert Smith 👍

Well done to all the organisers you deserve a round off applause xxxxxx🎻🎺📯🍾🥂🤗🤗

Best Proms ever!!!! Great night out. x

It was a great evening amazing

Any one know where to find the pictures that were taken last night?
